What Does PANTHEON Accounting Contain?

PANTHEON supports a general ledger with subject accounts and enables automatic and manual posting of business events. Most posts are created automatically using predefined templates. Subledgers are completely integrated in the general ledger, without duplicate entry. Posting is made even easier through the use of distribution keys by predefined templates.

A basic chart of accounts is included in the program. Of course, it can be suplemented and changed, just like the predefined templates for automatic posting.

The Financial Reports menu  allows you to prepare various reports of balance sheets and profit loss statements by period, department, cost center, and comparisons with previous periods, in both local and foreign currency.

Summary reports of automatic posts and unbalanced journal entries are also very helpful, as they reveal unbalanced posts. The program also supports the automatic closing of classes 4 and 7 by department and cost center and the automatic preparation of a journal entry for posting to the general ledger. The Business Year Close menu also allows you to automatically create opening and closing journal entries.

Real Examples - Biro Bonus d.o.o

My name is Drago Bučar. I am president of the Association of Accounting Services of Dolenjska and Bela Krajina and the director of the Biro Bonus accounting service. I would like to share the experiences our company gained when we implemented the Datalab PANTHEON system.

Biro Bonus was started in 1991. We used our own program for our work, which was written in DOS. Everything was well organized, but not nearly as well as it is today. In 1999 we were awarded an ISO 9001 Certificate. In our quality guidelines we stated that our company's goal is a transition to electronic business operations and with it e-accounting. In 2001 we implemented operations with the PANTHEON IT system.

We trained all employees for work with PANTHEON, which took about a month per employee. We soon realized that training on the other side is required - training our clients for work with this advanced tool. We organize training taught by bookkeepers and accountants. In one afternoon, they enter over 150 documents and continue with practical posting, so training is quick and thorough.

PANTHEON is user friendly, as managers can enter records themselves - enter documents. They can create an initial analysis at any time, without an accountant. Accountants do only their share with the 100% use of data the manager himself has entered. Managers no longer have problems with a prompt analysis of their business operations. At our company, we use a terminal work method - accountants sign in to our partner's database and begin working. We use PANTHEON for our work even if the client does not. This also presents advantages, as entry in the IT system is easy and one-time, whereas all data was entered individually in the DOS posting system.

On average employees had to put in 10 hours of overtime per month in order to completely meet the needs and expectations of our clients. Much more checking of entries was required. Checking was 10 - 20% of one's work. Human errors occurred in the document - eye - hand correlation, and could not be avoided. By implementing PANTHEON, up to 80% human errors  are eliminated, as you're only entering key information. Through one-time entry, data is recorded on all levels of accounting.  

Before implementing the new IT system, we used a great deal of time for internal analyses for the needs of banks. Now, we can create these analyses immediately. The rationalization of time is also apparent when converting currencies. The work method that PANTHEON makes possible can also be seen in the satisfaction of employees, as its easier for them to achieve results and be successfull.

We've used the time we've saved for corporate and tax consulting. We've introduced a system of paperwork that guarantees the authenticity of documents so the client won't come into conflict with the tax laws due to a lack of knowledge on legislation. In the future, we'd like to introduce paper free accounting.
