How to Avoid the Illusion of Digital Transformation

Prof. Joe Peppard, one of the leading digital experts and special guest of the conference, will help us answer the last questions. We’ve asked him to prepare some remarks about the state of digital transformation in companies.

‘One worrying trend that we see is what I call the “lipstick on a pig” phenomenon,’ says Prof. Peppard, adding ‘This is where an organization gives the illusion of being digital. To the outside world, there bay be some shiny new apps, but inside the company is scampering around in the dark. There may be lots going on under the banner of “our digital initiative”, but in reality there is little cohesion and minimal progress is being made. Digital can be exciting, thrilling – but is difficult to achieve.’

Day 1 – Thursday, 16 November 2017

The plenary part of the Conference is dedicated to the central topic of the conference – Digital Transformation with PANTHEON. We’ll answer several pressing questions: What is digital transformation, what are its benefits, what are the challenges on the way to achieving digital transformation, and many more. We’ll learn how to digitally transform all of the most important business functions, and show you successful examples from the real world.

Day 2 – Friday, 17 November 2017

The second day of the Conference will be dedicated to knowledge transfer, the exchange of the best business and PANTHEON practices, as well as the strengthening and upgrading of business and friendship ties. Guests, lecturers, and participants will mingle in the halls Europa A, B, C, D, and Mediteranea, divided into sections.

Meet Prof. Joe Peppard

Professor Joe Peppard is a Professor at ESMT Berlin, Germany and an Adjunct Professor at the University of South Australia. With his reference discipline in information systems, Professor Peppard researches, teaches and consults in the domains of IT leadership, digital strategy and innovation, the execution of digital transformation programs, IT value and in the role, structure and capabilities of the IT unit in contemporary organizations. Findings from his studies have been published in leading journals. His most recent book is The Strategic Management of Information Systems: Building a Digital Strategy (Wiley, 2016) and he is currently writing his next book Digital Leadership for Boards and C-Suites.

Meet Mr. Marin Vladović

Mr. Marin Vladović is the COO of Ceneje d. o. o.. He’s responsible for all activities involving collaboration with the EMOTA institute and awarding European Trustmarks on a national level. Meet Dr. Željko Ćurić

Dr. Željko Ćurić, psychiatrist, psychotherapist, and communicologist, moved from Dubrovnik to Ljubljana in 1993, where he established O.K. Consulting d. o. o. with Nikolai Mejaš. In cooperation with a group of experts, they develop and train leaders, athletes, and all those for whom communication is an important business tool. Meet Mr. Sebastijan Ženko

Sebastijan Ženko has been the Head of IT of UNIKA TTI d. o. o. since 1998. He first worked with PANTHEON in 2006, when he was actively involved in implementing it and replacing their existing DOS system. During implementation, the company decided to modernize their other business processes. During the years of PANTHEON use, Sebastijan worked on improving business processes by using Ares applets and developing mobile and web applications. By 2015, the company almost completely abolished manual data entry, which he will be happy to demonstrate at the Conference.

Meet Mrs. Ana Petrić

Ana Petrić is a manager in the global and SE Europe A.T. Kearney team, working in the field of corporate strategy, digitalization, sales growth, and operational restructuring. She consults for top companies in the region and manages several projects focused on telecommunications, processing industries, and FMCG. Before joining the consulting team of A.T. Meet Dr. Maja Bogataj Jančič

Dr. Maja Bogataj is the founder and director of the Intellectual Property Institute in Ljubljana, Slovenia, a private research and consulting institution, specializing in intellectial property. Her research and academic work, and her consulting activities cover all areas of intellectual property law, especially copyright law, Internet law, and media law. She has published several works in the fields of copyright law, intellectual property law, and Internet law, and coauthored several books in these fields. She is the adjudicator in domain disputes pertaining to the .si domain, and an arbiter in the Ljubljana Arbitration Center at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia. She represents several brands and models. Her consulting work is very divers: consulting corporations, start-ups, individual creators, and public institutions. Meet Mr. Marko Bohar

Mr. Marko Bohar has been an independent consultant at the Chamber of Electrical and Electronics Industry (Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia), where he is actively involved in the processes of shaping a Strategy of Smart Specialization, EU projects with the goal of building business networks, as well as collecting and adapting business and regulatory information about the EU single market for the electrical industry. His work is focused on collecting and interpreting business/economical and strategic aspects of digitalization, emphasizing the digitalization of industry. Before that, he was a development engineer and project manager in some of Slovenia’s biggest companies, such as IskraEmeco, IskraTel, and HermesSoftlab. Meet Mrs. Špela Vauhnik

Mrs. Špela Vauhnik has a BA in Economics. She has a lot of experience in the field of sales process management and management in general, as she has been active in the private sector for 20 years, working in fields, such as market research, and sales promotion. She was the director of sales for a large trading company for 15 years. She joined Mercuri International in 2016. She helps employees develop management and sales competences, so that they may achieve their vision, mission, and ambition. She uses modern methods, helping attendees of training and coaching sessions to discover new possibilities to overcome challenges, break down barriers, and develop new behaviors that will help them achieve the goals they set. Meet Mrs. Saša Einsiedler

Saša Einsiedler is a certified DreamBuilder coach, family and transformative mediator, and the first in this part of Europe with a certificate from the world-renowned Jack Canfield Success Principles. She’s the author of two manuals, My Self-Image Is My Decision and Communication and Public-Speaking Training with Saša Einsiedler. She’s a business woman, having run her business for almost 20 years, and mother of five. Meet Mr. Blaž Dobnikar

Mr. Blaž Dobnikar has worked in Extra Lux d. o. o. since 2007, where he started out as a purchasing clerk. Later as project manager, he completed several projects to improve business processes, such as the introduction of a B2B online shop, the introduction of the BiroLux service, integrating the WMS warehouse system, helping to reorganize the company, etc. He is now the CTO and works on reorganizing the company’s sales network. Meet Mr. Aleksander Nerat

Mr. Aleksander Nerat is an electrical engineer. He has more than 17 years of experience in the development, project, work group and production management, as well as introducing ISO standards. He began his successful career in Valava elektronik s. p. as a development engineer. He was later the head of the technical service in Protect Infra d. o. o. and Fit varovanje. The next stop on his successful carreer path was the position of development engineer in Ema, head of production in Seltron d. o. o., and process engineer/project manager in Impedanca d. o. o..
