What is PANTHEON Hosting?

All data entered into the PANTHEON software (e.g. invoices, accounting data, payroll, etc.) is stored in a database, which is usually located on a dedicated computer known as a server. The server remains continuously operational to ensure that the data is always accessible. It is also protected by appropriate security measures designed to prevent data loss, including regular backups as well as physical and software-based protection.

Normally, you would need to provide and manage all the required server equipment yourself or through an external service provider, while also ensuring its ongoing maintenance. With the **hosting service**, these concerns are taken care of for you, as your database is **stored in a professional data centre**, where appropriate security, reliability and technical performance are ensured.

This is not a web application where you work through a browser.
